Drop of water

Join a tide of caring

When we turn on the tap, we expect clean water will flow freely. But for many who live in Hampton Roads, this is not their reality. Sudden unemployment or an unexpected disability can leave them with the tough decision of not paying their water or wastewater bill in order to afford paying another bill. Luckily, you can join the community and lend a hand through H2O.

Flood your community with kindness

In some cases, we have to turn families away because the donations we collect aren’t meeting the profound financial need in our communities. However, if we join together and find a way to increase our generosity to assist those who need it most, no community member will have to go without water service. There are several simple ways to help – including adding a donation to your utility payment.

Help 2 Others

Hey, Hampton Roads! Your generosity is showing! ❤️

Thanks to you, we had record-breaking donations in the month of June with over $18,500 raised to keep water flowing to our Hampton Roads neighbors in need. You flooded the community with kindness and ensured families would be able to wash their hands and sanitize their homes during this global pandemic.

If you or someone you know is sick or unable to work because of coronavirus, please reach out. Your neighbors here in Hampton Roads have your back!

Whether you donated by envelope, while paying your water bill online, or through the ShareH2O.org website, your donation always goes directly to support a local family in need thanks to our administrative partnership with local water utilities, HRSD, the Salvation Army, and Hampton Roads Planning District Commission.

Help 2 Others

Times are tough. If you can help give the gift of water to a neighbor in need, please consider a monetary donation during the month of July.

We're preparing our next round of assistance to Hampton Roads residents who have fallen behind on their water or wastewater bill. 100 percent of your donation will be made available in the month of August for our partners at Salvation Army to assist Hampton Roads residents who may be falling behind on their water bills.

Let's flood our community with support and make sure everyone has access to clean, healthy tap water during a time when water is so vitally important! ❤
